Alison’s Tip

Permethrin is a common chemical found in canine monthly flea preventatives.  Permethrin is TOXIC TO CATS and can cause severe clinical signs, such as seizures, muscle tremors, hyperthermia, cardiac arrhythmias, and in some cases death.  If applying any flea preventative on your cat that was NOT prescribed by your veterinarian, please read the label and make sure the product does not contain permethrin.  The best advice is to always use mostly flea and heart worm preventatives that are prescribed by your veterinarian.

Katie’s Tip

The combination of a late night of halloween fun and change of time for day life savings can equal disaster for your child’s sleeping habits. So here are some tips for getting your child back on schedule.

1. If your child still naps, try to keep him or her awake until his or her normal first nap time (according to the current clock).  Your child will probably want to nap one hour earlier than normal. Try your best to stretch them to their normal nap time to maintain and create a new schedule.
2. If your child no longer naps,  do your best to keep your child up until his or her regular bedtime at night. Keep in mind that he or she may be a little cranky and tired in the evening but stretching them to their normal bedtime will help to get them back on their original schedule.
3. Stay calm, most children fall back into their normal sleeping patterns within a few days!

Carrie’s Tip

A cross body bag is one of my favorite styles to wear all season long! It gives off a great laid back and relaxed vibe.
