Tips For The Week!
Alison’s Tip
Many people are overwhelmed with the thought of cooking weeknight meals for their family for so many reasons such as not enough time after a long day, the challenge of cooking, or the cleanup after. One way I get over these challenges is to pick your meals for the week ahead of time, go shopping on Sunday, and chose recipes that are simple and quick to make. Baking one pot meals always is my go to on the weeknights. Just combine the ingredients, add them to a dish, and throw it all into the oven. Here are some easy, healthy, and delicious one pot meals.
Spanish Chicken and Potato Roast
Serve with a side of rice, quinoa, or veggies:) Happy Cooking!
Katie’s Tip
Thirty percent of the tibia fractures in young toddlers are caused by slide injuries. A large portion of those injuries are due to parents placing their child on their lap to go down the slide. What often happens is that the child’s rubber sole causes friction and gets stuck. The weight and momentum of the parent puts a force on the leg which can cause a fracture to the tibia or shin bone. So if your child is too young to ride the slide, putting them on your lap to protect them is not a good solution. Have them use a slide that is age appropriate.
