Tips For The Week……Cooking Tips, Best Jeans For The Fall, Keeping Your Children Safe During Halloween
Alison’s Tip
With twins and a 2 1/2 year old it is getting a bit challenging to spend more than 20 minutes prepping and preparing a nice dinner. Lately, the name of the game has been slow cooker meals. I throw everything in the slow cooker in the morning or early afternoon and by 6 pm we have an entire meal that can easily be put together. This is a great website for some slow cooker recipes. Happy Cooking everyone:)
Katie’s Tip
We all love Halloween but it can be a dangerous time for small children. Did you know that 0n average, children are more than twice as likely to be hit by a car and killed on Halloween than on any other day of the year. So over the next few weeks, I will be dedicating my tips to halloween safety, starting with costumes. Decorate costumes and bags with reflective tape or stickers and, if possible, choose light colors. Since masks can sometimes obstruct a child’s vision, try non-toxic face paint and makeup whenever possible. Make sure that costume properly fits to avoid falls and injury. See you Wednesday!
Carrie’s Tip
I use to spend hundreds of dollars on high end denim. $200 for a pair of jeans was normal. Now I much prefer to buy a few pairs for that same price while not giving up on good quality! Some of my favorite brands for affordable denim are BlankNYC, Pistola and Zara. Here are some great styles for fall and they’re all under $100.00!
