How to dress your little one for the holidays!

Hi Guys!

I am going to break this blog down in to two parts so I can focus on the girls today! Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about the boys I promise! They will be included in my part 2 edition coming soon 🙂

Holidays can be tricky because you don’t want to be over the top and wear a large Christmas tree, turkey or dreidel on the front of your sweater right? Or maybe you do and that’s totally okay too! My sister loves a good themed sweater and i’m not knocking you for it. But I will give you some tips and inspiration on ways to put outfits together that are both festive and adorably cute for the holidays. I think a lot of these outfits below work well for Thanksgiving or any events occurring in the month of November/December. Here are some of my favorite trends to look for:

Velvet and Embroidery: Velvet is so fun for the holidays. My favorite festive and cozy fabric! I think accessories are an awesome way to incorporate this trend. Go with a velvet bootie or headband! It can definitely make an outfit pop and pulls it all together. You can go classic and go with a look like the one on the right with this perfect plaid blouse and booties. The bow on those pink velvet booties is too adorable. Embroidery has this awesome vintage feel to it right? I love how embroidery is back and we are seeing some really cool pieces out there. This dress below is so feminine and pretty. I always say if you want to step outside the box, try a dainty dress and accessorize with something funky. This dress above has such a cute style and color story is great for Thanksgiving!

Ruffles: Don’t get me started on ruffles. I love anything with a ruffle and theres nothing cuter than a little girl in a ruffle top or dress! Can we talk about these plaid shoes and those cat tights! OMG. And yes I love the pearl trend. These ballet flats are everything.

Funky Combos and Plaids: Obviously plaids are always a staple during the holidays. Lately we have been seeing so much of it though and I love it! I can’t get enough of a good gingham top or holiday plaid. You could go classic holidays like the plaid look above or go funky like these two outfits below! These outfits are screaming my niece Charlee. So many ways to rock it! Love the denim star jeans with this gingham top and the funky sneakers. This is cute for a casual thanksgiving dinner with the fam! I also love pairing a pretty dress with a combat boot. This maroon headband still keeps it girly and feminine. The look on the left makes for such an awesome pairing! When you step outside your comfort zone and try pieces together that you may not think go together…you may be pleasantly surprised.

Layering and Fringe: Any dress can be plain and boring if you don’t accessorize. I love socks and tights! Especially for the cold months ahead. A basic solid color dress can really transform with the addition of a cute tight or sock. Go for a tight or sock that has a cool print or interesting texture. Love this little hunter green jumper with the ribbed bodysuit underneath. You can always add more layers by adding the tights! Love me a good fringe. This top from Mac & Mia is one of my favorite pieces! I think it looks so awesome paired with this maroon ruffle skirt. Such a fun combo! Ruffles and fringe…now we’re talking!

I hope this gives you guys some awesome inspiration for the holidays. Check out our instastories where you can swipe up to buy some of these pieces! 1. One of my favorite things about the cold weather and holidays is all the cute warm clothes to wear! It’s pretty cold where I live so we usually wear layers but we love to try different styles and colors together. My daughters favorite is ruffles of course lol.
