Are you Ready for the Summer?

Memorial day is slowly approaching, which means Summer will be here before you know it. My sisters and I don’t necessarily look forward to the Summers in Florida. When I lived in NY it was always the start of a great few months. But here, the humidity is almost unbearable and it rains legitimately every single day. So why not be comfortable and prepared?! When you go out shopping for a few new items for the upcoming HOT and RAINY season, look for items that are comfortable, functional, versatile, flowy and colorful. You want to make sure you look for fabrics that are light weight like linen, eyelet or cotton. Silk can also be nice for those hot days. Invest in a few pairs of great shorts. Elastic waist bands can be your friend. They are much more comfortable to wear and breathable on your body for those tough sticky days. I always look for pieces that won’t cling to my body. So search for shift dresses and items that are going to be billowy. This will allow for more room and air to come through your clothing. You also don’t want to be caught with nasty sweat stains and you are more likely to have those show up on clothing that is tight on your skin.
