The Secret is Out…”The Noodle Pudding”

Hi Everyone!

I could not be more excited to share this amazing recipe.  We have been eating this noodle pudding since we were kids.  It is at every holiday and even at Sunday dinners because everyone loves it so much.  I am definitely a more savory kind of girl, but this recipe breaks that rule for me.  I will literally eat the entire dish if it is placed in front of me (if Carrie doesn’t get to it first). For years I have never actually made the dish, I just ate it.  Well guess what? My step mom, Barbara “gave it up” and I couldn’t be more excited. This dish is truly the best noodle pudding I have ever had.

Here’s how it goes:

Ingredients

One bag wide noodles

5 eggs

1 cup sugar

½ cup cream cheese melted in 1/2 pound butter

1 pint sour cream

1 small can crushed pineapple drained

Cinnamon

1 medium box frosted flakes crushed in food processor

1 stick melted butter

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Crush 1 medium box of frosted flakes in a food processor

Combine the crushed frosted flakes with 1 stick of melted butter, 1/2 cup sugar, and cinnamon to taste

Set aside

Step 2

Boil noodles

Step 3

Melt ½ cup cream cheese with ½ pound butter in microwave

In Mixer, or by hand, beat 5 eggs.  Add 1 cup sugar.  Add melted cream cheese and butter.  Add 1 pint of sour cream.  Add a can of crushed pineapple, drained.  Mix until smooth.

Step 4

Place half the frosted flake mixture on the bottom of a pyrex dish

Place boiled noodles on top of the crushed Frosted Flakes

Now pour the creamy mixture over the noodles evenly

Place other half of the frosted flake mixture on top of noodles and creamy mixture

Step 5

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes
