Read Across America – Favorite Books for Kids
The first week of March is always a fun week in our family! We LOVE reading, especially reading with our kids. And the week of Dr. Seuss’s birthday is the perfect time to celebrate that love with our little ones! Read Across America is also celebrated around this date each year to help foster children’s love of books and reading.
And we just can’t get enough of that!
In our schools, our kids are dressing up and having fun with different Dr. Seuss classics each day this week to celebrate.
Teaching Kids to Love to Read
Helping kids love to read is so important. Reading sparks their imaginations and helps push them to learn, grow, and dream in ways they just wouldn’t believe possible otherwise. Building these early literacy skills is critical and not at all difficult to do.
In fact, just 20 minutes a day can have a huge impact, according to recent studies.
