Maternity Style
Hi Everyone! This week is all about celebrating Mothers. Yes, I said “week” because we definitely deserve more than just one day, right?!
And on Mother’s Day, we can’t forget about all of our amazing mothers to be. So this week’s blog is devoted to you! I am here to make sure you look and feel as amazing during your pregnancy as you always do. I have not written a maternity blog in quite some time and with my sister being pregnant with twins, I thought there was no better time. She always comes to me for fashion advice and during such a difficult time when nothing fits, I am here to help!
The summer is around the corner. Which means for those of you who are pregnant, you will have to deal with the treacherous heat while simultaneously growing a baby. Or in Alison’s case, 2 babies! Goods news, there are still ways to stay cool and also look stylish. So let me show you! Below are some great suggestions to get you through the summer months. If I was going to invest in a few pieces (or maybe 5), I would narrow it down to these items: jean shorts, shift or t-shirt dresses, comfy maternity boyfriend jeans, a tight fitting body fit dress, and one out of the box item. An out of the box item means something you wouldn’t normally pick out such as maternity overalls, an off the shoulder style piece, or a multi colored striped fitted dress.

Along with these stylish items, make sure to get comfortable leggings and light airy t-shirts. You will live in those. I also suggest that you buy a few shift or t-shirt dresses. Those were my ultimate go to outfits when I was pregnant. I purchased a few basic colors and worked in some fun and bold accessories, which is an easy way to make a simple outfit more stylish. Believe me, I know putting together a cohesive outfit seems to be the last thing on your mind. Making yourself feel as normal as possible during this process was always something that made me feel at ease with my changing body. Below are some simple ways to dress up a basic t-shirt dress by adding accessories.

I hope this helps all you mommies to be! Happy shopping!
