What Time Is It?
As busy mothers and career women, time has become somewhat of a luxury. There never feels like there are enough hours in the day to get everything accomplished. When you’re at work you’re thinking about your kids, and when you’re with your kids you think about work. Nowadays, most people rely on their smart phones for everything, but a classic wrist watch allows you to escape the distractions of technology and helps you focus on the moment.
Armitron has been creating watches for over 50 years and they know the importance of versatility and durability. Whether you’re at work, walking the neighborhood with your baby or dog, or taking a quick jog, Armitron has successfully created a collection of styles that are wearable for almost any occasion.
As sisters, wives, doctors, and moms, time management is crucial to our daily lives. Success for us is being able to find a balance between being busy career women and attentive mothers, while occasionally getting in some much needed “me” time. Finding a balance can be a challenge, but if and when you do, you will be able to concentrate on what’s really important, making memories with your family and friends.
Me Time!
Being a pediatrician and a mother, life is sometimes stressful. The grind of patient care and mommyhood can be overwhelming. Occasionally, you get buried in the responsibilities of life and forget to take care of yourself. We often feel guilty taking time for ourselves, but it is necessary for our mental health. Whether it is a 25 minute run, meditation, or waking up 30 minutes earlier to have a quiet start to the day, try and discover what brings you the most peace and incorporate that time into your weekly routine. Setting aside time just for yourself can make you feel more fulfilled and balanced.

Mommy Time!
As parents we become so overwhelmed with the decisions we make for our children that we forget to enjoy the little moments. I wear my watch to remind myself that time is priceless and that our children grow up too fast. In the blink of an eye, your child goes from tiny newborn to talking toddler. My favorite time of the day is getting my son ready in the morning. There is something special about the early morning when I see my son’s ever growing curiosity and love for exploring. Even during those times of pure insanity and exhaustion, I try not to sweat the small stuff and really find a way to even enjoy the chaos. In the end, it’s worth every spilled drink, messy clean up, or major temper tantrum!

Career Time!
It may not be my favorite time, but I love the feeling that my career time allows me to be a role model to my children and teach them about dedication of your time and hard work. And let’s be honest, a little career time is a good short escape from mommy time! Being a busy veterinarian, time management, and making sure I stay organized and on schedule is extremely important me, and for all of my clients and pet patients.
In a world where cell phones have taken over, I love the simplicity and ease of my Armitron watch. Many of the diagnostic tests I perform require timed results. Using my watch not only keeps me organized and on schedule, but it allows me to stay focused on my clients and patients. And who doesn’t love to check their watch at the end of the day when it’s time to leave the job behind and be with your family and friends!
