The Perfect Piece
Hi Everyone!
Continuing with the theme of my tip of the week, I thought I would focus this week’s blog on some of of my favorite jewelry pieces. I also wanted to give you guys some tips on how to style your jewelry. My sisters always ask me how to pair necklaces to their outfits. It’s not always the easiest to figure out, but somehow along the way I have learned exactly how to accessorize and style jewelry the right way. I have found some really helpful tutorials online that will give you great visuals. I love this one from Lucky Shops!
I never like to spend too much on accessories. I either lose them, they get stolen (by my sisters), or I somehow manage to break them. So I try to be careful to choose pieces that are versatile, made well, and are under $100!
It’s not so clear cut. I feel that you can’t say that v-neck shirts only look good paired with long pendant necklaces. I really think it’s a trial and error situation and you should try on a few necklaces before you find the perfect match. Here are some of my favorite pictures form Baublebar.com and Styledot.com that show how to accessorize a basic outfit:
For me, layering has always been an easy way to spruce up my outfits. If you aren’t comfortable with how to do this, just buy a piece that is already layered like this necklace. This type of necklace will look great on basic solid tops. Another option is to wear a bold statement necklace, which can be the perfect way to turn a really basic outfit into something much more exciting.
Where to shop:
Definitely check out Bauble Bar! I really love this site for fun and affordable jewelry. Obsessed with this build a bracelet set on their site. Stacking bracelets doesn’t have to be too complicated. I always begin stacking with one of my bigger bracelets and use that as my starting point. I always keep with the same metal which is usually gold. I like to mix different textures and different sizes. I try and keep with the same color story as well.
Also on Bauble Bar, you can also put together your own charm pendant necklace. This makes it more fun to buy jewelry online.
Stella & Dot. Such great pieces! They have such a great range of prices too. I always find exactly what I am looking for and also love how they show their pieces on an actual model so you can see examples of what tops look good with the piece you choose.
Nordstrom. Forever will love their jewelry collection.
Hope this helps! Happy Shopping!!! (Can you tell I like the tassel trend?)
