Katie’s Tip

We all love Halloween but it can be a dangerous time for small children. Did you know that 0n average, children are more than twice as likely to be hit by a car and killed on Halloween than on any other day of the year. So over the next few weeks, I will be dedicating my tips to halloween safety, starting with costumes. Decorate costumes and bags with reflective tape or stickers and, if possible, choose light colors. Since masks can sometimes obstruct a child’s vision, try non-toxic face paint and makeup whenever possible. Make sure that costume properly fits to avoid falls and injury. See you Wednesday!

Carrie’s Tip

A pencil skirt doesn’t have to be just a boring item you wear to work anymore. It can be rather versatile if styled correctly. Pair it with a slouchy t-shirt with a great pump for a more chic look. A leather pencil skirt for the fall paired with a loose denim blouse is a fun date night outfit. I love this article from Glamour.com that shows 13 great ways to style a pencil skirt.
