A New Adventure In Styling

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day with their loved ones! We certainly did.

After spending the day with every mother in my life, I have to say that mom’s are simply incredible. I know you all already knew this but it’s true! We do it all. We work hard, we raise little humans, we kick butt in whatever task is handed to us, and we try our best to get it all done by the day’s end! Becoming a mother yourself makes you appreciate your own mom even more. Every time I am having a moment of pure parenting insanity, I think of my mom taking on the world with 4 kids! She is amazing and forever my super hero.

My son Jax is almost 2 years old which is insanely hard to believe! Over the past 6 months, I have felt this urge to do more. Being a mother is certainly the hardest job I’ve ever had, but I started to feel like I was missing something. Working in fashion for as long as I could remember, I wanted to find a job that I was super passionate about, but also have the flexibility to raise my son. Seems like a dream job right? Luckily, I was fortunate enough to find it! All I can say is that it’s only been a couple weeks and I already feel better about myself. I am doing something I love and it’s giving me that spark I needed to get back on track! I have to give my sister Katie a major shout out because she has always given me the extra motivation to keep pushing. To never give up on what you want and to work hard to achieve it. Life is definitely a journey and I think I have finally found my groove! So now I want to tell you all about the amazing new adventure I am starting and this AMAZING company I am working for!

If you haven’t heard, Mac & Mia is an adorable personal shopping service for your kids. They offer busy parents on demand boutique quality clothing created by some of the most unique brands! The best part of this service is you can order whenever needed and you won’t be charged a monthly fee!

Each box you receive will include 6 to 8 items. My job is to pick items that best fits your child’s style and personality. Mac & Mia put’s a lot of thought and care not only into the look of each piece, but also how it’s made and the vendors we work with.

Inside your box, you will also receive an itemized list of each item that I handpicked for your child. I will also include a personalized note to each customer giving tips and advice on the best ways to style your new outfits. Another great part of this service is that you will only be charged for the pieces that you keep. For instance, if there are a couple items that didn’t work out, you are able to send them back to Mac & Mia in a pre-labeled shipping bag that is provided with each box. It’s so convenient and easy to do. No one wants a fitting room melt down and Mac & Mia takes the stress out of having to do that.

The sizes we carry range from as little as newborns to 6T. This service can also be an amazing gift for baby showers. I know I am sending one to a specific friend of mine who is having twins in a couple months 🙂

I would LOVE for you all to give it a try and have me as your stylist.  Please follow this link to give it a try:

Here are a few quick and simple tips when styling you kids:

  1. Try combinations that are outside the box for you. I am a huge fan of mixing prints. Florals with stripes, plaids and cool graphic tees, animal print with bold geometric patterns. I prefer things that don’t look too matchy. It makes for a more fun and unexpected outfit!
  2. Mix high and low pieces. If you can’t afford an entire wardrobe filled with expensive clothing that’s okay! I always tell my moms to invest in amazing pieces. For Jax, I definitely spend more money on his bottoms and nice tops then I do for his t-shirts. Or if you live in areas where its colder, it’s worth it to splurge on a unique jacket or layering piece. The mixture of high and low is what makes for a cool look!
  3. Accessories can make a bland outfit way more fun! A basic outfit of leggings and a t-shirt can be punched up with a pom pom necklace and funky high top sneaker. When I am rushing to get out of the house and don’t have much time to put together a cute outfit for my son, I love putting him in a colorful or printed shoe. Layering is also an easy way to add a little punch to your outfit. For little girls, there is nothing cute than a white or blue denim jacket! For boys I love bomber jackets, cardigans and printed hoodies.

I hope these styling tips for your kids were helpful and I really hope you try the service! Charlee, Luke and Jax are all wearing Mac & Mia outfits in the pictures below. They have everything from every day clothing to amazing pieces for special occasions. Now my sisters can stop bugging me constantly to pick out clothes for their kids..I can just send it to their doorstep haha.
